The UltraClear platform allows an exceptional level of control over how laser energy is delivered to the skin. Rather than using a fixed treatment protocol, our laser team can adjust several important variables to tailor the treatment to each patient’s skin.

Ring strength

Each microscopic treatment point created by the laser forms a small circular pattern known as a ring. The strength of this ring can be adjusted through several settings. As the ring level increases, the treatment zone becomes broader and more energetic, stimulating greater skin rejuvenation.

Treatment density

Treatment density determines how closely the microscopic treatment rings are placed across the skin surface. Increasing density means a greater proportion of the skin receives laser energy, which can improve concerns such as pigmentation, fine lines and uneven skin texture.

Laser depth

The UltraClear system also allows extremely precise control over how deeply the laser energy penetrates the skin. Depth can be adjusted in very small increments measured in microns, allowing treatment to be tailored to the thickness of the skin and the concern being treated.

In our experience the most basic 3DMIRACL® settings can be extremely gentle and may produce only subtle improvements. At Woodford Medical we have refined the protocol to deliver more meaningful skin rejuvenation while still maintaining low downtime.

Our 3DMIRACL® Plus approach involves thoughtful adjustments to ring strength, treatment density and laser depth in order to achieve optimal results for each patient.

Before treatment we often perform an assessment using VISIA skin analysis. This imaging system allows us to document the starting condition of the skin and analyse features such as pigmentation, sun damage, vascular changes and skin texture.

This helps guide treatment planning and allows us to monitor improvement over time.

For most patients we apply a topical anaesthetic cream before treatment begins. This gently numbs the skin and allows the procedure to be performed comfortably even when stronger treatment settings are used.

Immediately after treatment we carefully cool the skin to calm inflammation and improve comfort. Appropriate post-treatment skincare is then applied to support the skin barrier and assist the recovery process.

One of the advantages of 3DMIRACL® Plus is the relatively short recovery time.

Day 1–2: mild redness and warmth similar to light sunburn.
Day 2–4: slight roughness or dryness as the skin renews.
After day 4: skin typically appears brighter and smoother.
