Follow Kerys' bridal skin journey
When it comes to wedding skin, the most important step isn’t a single treatment, it’s the plan.
Every bride’s skin is different. Every budget is different. Every comfort level with treatments is different. That’s why bridal skin preparation should never be a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether you want a completely non-injectable journey focused purely on skin health, or you’re open to advanced regenerative treatments, a structured timeline allows us to create beautiful, natural results without stress or last-minute pressure. A plan can be tailored to suit any budget, prioritising the treatments that will give you the most impact while working progressively towards your goal.
And who better to demonstrate this than our own therapist, Kerys.
Kerys has been a valued member of the team at Woodford Medical since 2014. She first qualified in Beauty Therapy in 2011 before going on to study Spa Management and Business Management at university, where she developed a strong academic interest in skin science and UV damage. Over the years, she has trained extensively in advanced aesthetic treatments, laser technologies and skin rejuvenation procedures, developing a particular passion for personalised treatment planning using diagnostic imaging.

When Kerys began planning her New Year’s Eve wedding, she approached her own skin exactly as she advises her clients to - strategically and early. As a Type 1 diabetic, she is particularly mindful of inflammation, healing and maintaining skin stability. Her goal was to improve acne, refine texture, enhance clarity and build strong, healthy skin without injectables.
Her results were not created in a week. They were created over nine months of consistent, well-timed care.
9 Months Before: The Foundation Phase
We recommend brides begin their journey 6–9 months before the wedding wherever possible. This gives us the opportunity to genuinely improve skin quality rather than simply provide a temporary glow.
Kerys began with a comprehensive consultation and a complimentary analysis using the VISIA imaging system. This advanced scan allowed us to assess underlying pigmentation, congestion, inflammation, pore size, texture irregularities and sun damage — many of which are not visible to the naked eye.

Having measurable data meant we could track progress and build a truly personalised plan.
Because of Kerys’ Type 1 diabetes, strengthening the skin barrier and maintaining consistency was essential. Before introducing advanced treatments, we focused on building resilient, balanced skin through a targeted medical-grade homecare routine.
Kerys’ Bridal Skincare Regime
This consistent routine formed the backbone of her transformation.

6–9 Months Before: Improving Texture and Clarity
With the foundations in place, we introduced advanced treatments to refine skin texture and improve luminosity.
Using UltraClear, we addressed post-acne marks, uneven texture and overall radiance. Laser treatments are best performed well in advance to allow complete healing and collagen stimulation. Ideally, courses are completed at least three to six months before the wedding.
Around 6 Months Before: Regenerative & Collagen-Stimulating Treatments
At this stage, we begin focusing on collagen stimulation and long-term skin quality.
Polynucleotides are particularly beneficial for the delicate eye area — an area many brides are concerned about. They work beautifully to improve fine lines, crepey texture and dark circles by supporting cellular repair and strengthening thin, sensitive skin. Starting around six months before the wedding allows for gradual, natural enhancement without looking overdone.
We may also incorporate BBL and MOXI during this stage.

BBL (BroadBand Light) is excellent for improving pigmentation, redness and uneven tone while stimulating collagen production. MOXI complements this by gently resurfacing and refining texture with minimal downtime. Together, they provide a controlled, regenerative refresh months ahead of the event, giving the skin time to reveal optimal results.
As always, this stage is optional. A bridal plan does not need to include injectables. Treatments are always tailored to skin type, comfort level and budget.
3–6 Months Before: Preventative Anti-Wrinkle Treatment and Filler treatments
For brides considering and appropriate for anti-wrinkle treatment or fillers, we recommend starting three to six months ahead. Beginning early allows time to refine dosing and ensure beautifully natural results.
Up to 6 Weeks Before: Skin Boosting
Sunekos and Profhilo can really boost how our skin cells function, producing a glow with enhanced hydration and elasticity whilst still keeping the result soft and natural.
Finishing injectable courses at least one month to two weeks prior ensures everything is settled well before the big day.
The Final Week: Enhancing the Glow

The week before the wedding is about refinement, not experimentation.
Treatments using JetPeel can be performed even days before the wedding. JetPeel deeply hydrates, oxygenates and instantly brightens the skin with no downtime, making it ideal for that final bridal glow.
The Jan Marini peel is another excellent finishing treatment. When skin has been properly prepared, it can be performed in the week and often just days before the wedding to smooth texture, refine pores and enhance luminosity.
These treatments elevate what has already been built over months of preparation.
