At Woodford Medical, your health and well being is our utmost priority so this diet programme involves eating three healthy meals a day with your food likes and dislikes taken into consideration. However, this programme will also offer you the opportunity to try new foods and experiment. Although we do not enforce regular exercise as part of this regime, we would recommend if you can add a thirty minute walk into your day, three to five times a week, this will aid your weight loss.
We will also do a simple blood test before you begin your new regime. This is a comprehensive way for us to assess key areas such as cholesterol, glucose and thyroid functions so that we can tailor make the diet to suit you and allow you to lose weight in a healthy and manageable way. In addition to this, our nurse, Jeannie will work with you to understand how food fits into your daily life and what is triggering certain habits which stop you from losing weight.
This programme is a controlled way of losing weight and you need to follow the rules but providing you follow the meal planner, you will see results. The first couple of weeks may be the hardest as you change your habits but if you are committed you will soon feel and see the difference. We supply you with weekly food diaries to record your food intake, your moods, and your lapses. It is important to acknowledge anything that draws you away from the diet so that in your weekly meetings, Jeannie can help you understand what caused this lapse. Once you start to feel the weight coming off and see the change in your body measurements, this will drive you on.
