Fractional 1540 Skin Resurfacing is an advanced treatment for improving skin tone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles (particularly around the eye), the improvement and management of melasma and sun induced pigmentation.

The Palomar Lux1540 delivers laser energy in an array of narrow, focused microbeams, to create columns of coagulation (heat) within the skin but without damaging the surrounding tissue. The heated tissue within the columns initiates a natural healing process that forms new, healthy tissue. This results in a fresher, more youthful skin tone and texture.

Throughout the process, the integrity of the stratum corneum (the outer most layer of the skin) is maintained, which protects the tissue from infection as it heals. The result is faster dermal remodeling and skin resurfacing.

High Efficacy, No Downtime

The Palomar Lux1540 offers high energy per microbeam, and depth of penetration up to 1 mm. This stimulates quick healing within the surrounding deep tissue for the most effective deep corrections and long-term dermal remodeling obtainable. In addition, the Lux1540 delivers uniform microbeam penetration to produce more effective and even results.

What Areas Can I have Treated?

This Fractional non-ablative skin resurfacing can be performed on the face and eye area, chest, arms and hands.

Safety and Comfort

The Palomar Lux1540 delivers the laser energy in individual pulses of microbeams to protect the skin from overheating whilst the in-built cooling system ensures the skin is soothed immediately. The Palomar Lux1540 does not require topical anesthesia or dye application.

What Should I Expect After the Treatment?

You may experience lingering redness, warmth, swelling or tightness in the treated area but this will generally fade within a few hours. Although, with an application of mineral make up post treatment you will be fine to continue with your day, this is a good treatment to have on a Friday when you have a free weekend.

Because the pulses are confined to narrow columns in the skin, much of the skin is left unaffected and there is a quick healing process. Most people notice positive changes in their skin tone and texture within a few days.

A series of treatments at 4-6 week intervals may be required to achieve desired results.
