A WORD OF WARNING
Many unsuspecting individuals have sought out clinics registered with the Health Commission in the incorrect belief that the clinic has been appropriately vetted. Indeed such beauty type clinics use the National Care Standards as a means of legitimising their business giving them the appearance of being a medical establishment when they are not.
Potential clients must be mindful of this and should always ask to speak to the doctor in charge of the unit. It is safe under certain closely supervised circumstances to delegate the treatment to a nurse but a doctor must retain responsibility for the treatment.
