I'm living in Southern Ireland and when I was looking for a Photoderm specialist I came across Dr. Mervyn Patterson. I have now completed four photoderm sessions with Dr. Patterson and here are my comments. Photoderm for me has made my lifestyle so much easier. I still go to the bathroom mirror each morning expecting to see a red face and still cannot believe the skin tone I see is actually mine. I still expect to see a red face after I have my shower or after I shave and wash my face, but my skin tone is calm and un-flushed. Foods that made my skin look flushed no longer have the same effect. Neither does aerobic exercise cause a flushing or even an over heated environment. I also no longer take tetracycline or any other medication. Other benefits of Photoderm for me are - freckles on my face caused by sun damage (I lived on a sun bed in my early twenties) have all disappeared. Broken veins on my face are also gone. Another benefit is that my face has also lifted (I believe photoderm generates collagen under the skin) so lines that were quite deep between my nose and side of my mouth have now gone . I also no longer have open pores, which is amazing because I've lived with open pores for the last ten years!! The overall look of my skin is now SO MUCH better than it has been at any other time in my life. Last but NOT least, Dr. Patterson. Dr. Patterson really is the best. I travel from Ireland which is quite expensive (Euro to UK pound et cetera), but I would ONLY have Dr. Patterson work on my face and for me it has been worth every penny. It is a very comfortable feeling knowing that you have an expert operating the Photoderm machine.
