Questions to ask if you're considering IPL treatment
- Ensure your clinic is approved by the Health Care Commission
- Ask to have a consultation with the doctor in charge.
- Enquire as to their degree of experience in treating Rosacea and flushing
- Ask to see their portfolio of before and after pictures of treated clients
- Ask questions about the settings that the doctor intends to use with you and encourage him or her to explain to you the significance of the wavelengths and parameters they are using.
- Try not to rush into treatment. Ask for a consultation first and then go away and think about things before starting. If possible take a friend with you partly for moral support but also because they may well think of questions that had not occurred to you.
- Be wary of packages of treatment that tie you into multiple repeat treatments and where you might find it difficult to stop.
- Ask for an indication of how much better you can expect your skin to look and which aspects of your Rosacea are most likely to be helped.
- Avoid any clinic that gives you a guarantee. At Woodford Medical we promise to do our best to reach the best possible outcome for each client with a combination of our experience and some of the best technology in the world for this treatment.
