What are moles and milia?
The vast majority of moles are benign and simply a cosmetic nuisance for the person who suffers from them. They are also not eligible for treatment on the NHS.
How can they be removed?
At Woodford Medical we use two techniques for their removal. One is a minimally invasive technique whereby the mole is shrunk down and removed by electro-desiccation. A very fine needle destroys the mole leaving a pleasing aesthetic result.
Some moles are unsuitable for this technique and are best excised. Our surgeons are very experienced in this type of surgery and using the very latest surgical techniques to remove moles from any site on the body.
A consultation with one of our doctors can be arranged so that the treatment options can be discussed with you.
